New Service Line · Managed agent delivery

An agent dev-team
your seniors sign off on.

Emerge runs governed AI coding agents on your repositories as a managed service. Every change is developed in an isolated worktree, iterated against your own CI, and merged only through a human senior-engineer review gate. Every PR reviewed, every merge earned.

The backlog is real. The governance was missing.

AI coding tools arrived in most organisations bottom-up — individually licensed, individually prompted, invisible to the review process. The capability is not in question; the governance is. A Dev Pod is the same capability delivered the way an engineering leader can actually sign off: isolated branches, your CI as the first gate, and a named senior owning every merge.

Every figure on this row is drawn from Emerge’s own operated portfolio — the same orchestration we offer, running our own businesses daily.

11 repos

We run our own delivery on it

Emerge operates its own businesses and sites — commerce, marketing, internal platforms — through the same orchestrated agent portfolio it offers clients. Real issues in, real merged pull requests out.

Worktree-isolated

Never on your main branch

Every change is developed in an isolated git worktree on its own branch. Agents cannot touch main; the only path in is a pull request your seniors approve.

Human-gated

Every merge is earned

A named senior engineer reviews every pull request before it merges. Your CI runs first — and agents iterate on failures before a human ever spends a minute reviewing.

MIT open core

No vendor lock-in

The orchestration engine is open-source infrastructure. What you buy from Emerge is the managed service around it: onboarding, governance, review discipline, and reporting.

How a change ships

Six gates between an issue and your main branch.

The path below is not a happy-path diagram — it is the only path. Every change, on every repository, at every tier, ships this way or not at all.

01

Issue

Work enters as a scoped, agent-ready issue — triaged with your team so the brief is unambiguous before an agent ever starts.

02

Session

An agent picks the issue up in an isolated git worktree on its own branch. Your main branch is structurally out of reach.

03

Pull request

The change lands as a pull request in your repository, on your platform, with the full diff and reasoning visible.

04

CI loop

Your own pipeline is the first gate. If checks fail, the agent iterates on the failures — before a human spends a minute on review.

05

Senior review

A named senior engineer reviews the pull request the way they would review any colleague’s work. Agents propose; seniors dispose.

06

Merge

Only a human merges. The audit trail — issue to session to branch to review to merge — is complete by construction.

The engagement ladder

One governance model. Three depths of engagement.

The delivery architecture is identical at every rung — isolated worktrees, the CI loop, the senior review gate. What changes is cadence and how deeply the capability embeds in your organisation.

Pilot Sprint

Prove it on your backlog.

A fixed-scope sprint on one repository — a bounded issue set, delivered through the full governance model, closed with an evidence report.

Shape
Fixed scope, 2–4 weeks, one repository
Setup
Repo-readiness and access-posture assessment: CI, branch protection, issue hygiene — plus a written governance charter
Gate
Senior-engineer review on every pull request
Output
End-of-sprint report: issues in, pull requests out, merges earned

Best for: Teams that want evidence before commitment — the natural paid entry point.

Managed Pod

Your standing delivery pod.

A monthly managed service across one to three repositories: we triage your backlog into agent-ready issues, own the CI-fix loop, and report throughput against the review gate.

Shape
Monthly managed service, 1–3 repositories
Cadence
Weekly delivery call; backlog triaged into agent-ready issues with you
Gate
Senior review on every merge, turnaround SLA on the pod
Output
Monthly throughput and review-gate report

Best for: Product teams with a groomed backlog and CI in place, short on hands.

Embedded Program

Agent delivery inside your org.

A multi-repo program that transfers the capability: your reviewers enabled on the gate, the security posture co-designed, the playbook handed over.

Shape
Multi-repo program, quarterly review
Transfer
Client-side reviewer enablement and playbook handover
Posture
Security and access design co-owned with your platform team
Output
A governed agent-delivery capability your organisation runs

Best for: Engineering organisations that want the capability, not just the service.

Tailored quote Scope it

Pricing follows the engagement, not a rate card: every rung is scoped and quoted against your repositories, backlog shape, and review posture during the Pilot Sprint assessment.

Reference implementation

We are the first client.

Emerge’s own businesses — commerce, marketing sites, internal platforms — run their delivery through the same orchestrated portfolio we offer: eleven repositories under one governed daemon, real issues triaged in, real pull requests reviewed and merged out, daily.

That is the claim we make, because it is the one we can demonstrate on the spot — the audit trail from issue to merge, live. No throughput multiples, no invented benchmarks: production evidence, then a Pilot Sprint on your backlog.

  • Eleven repositories operated under one governed orchestration daemon
  • Isolated git worktree per agent session — main is structurally out of reach
  • CI-failure loops handled by agents before human review time is spent
  • Named senior sign-off on every merge, with the full audit trail preserved
  • Complete traceability: issue → session → branch → PR → review → merge
  • Open-source engine (MIT, © Composio Inc.) — the service and governance are Emerge’s

The questions engineering leaders actually ask.

Do agents ever work on our main branch?

No — structurally, not just by policy. Every session runs in an isolated git worktree on its own branch, and the only route into main is a pull request that passes your CI and a named senior engineer’s review. There is no unattended path to a merge.

Is this replacing our engineering team?

No, and we won’t pitch it that way. Agents are the delivery mechanism; the judgment stays human. Your backlog gets converted into reviewable pull requests, and your seniors — or ours, depending on the tier — decide what ships. Teams typically point the pod at the work that never makes the sprint: maintenance, upgrades, test coverage, the long tail.

What do you need from us to start?

A GitHub repository with CI, branch protection we can verify, and a backlog we can triage together. That is exactly what the Pilot Sprint’s repo-readiness assessment checks — and if your estate lives on another platform today, we say so in scoping rather than discovering it mid-engagement.

Who sees our code, and where does the work run?

Access posture is designed, in writing, before the first agent session — named individuals, scoped credentials, and the runner location agreed as part of the Pilot Sprint’s access-posture assessment. We would rather settle that in procurement’s language up front than improvise it later.

Did Emerge build the orchestration engine?

No — it is open-source infrastructure (MIT-licensed, © Composio Inc.), and we say so plainly. What Emerge built, and what you engage us for, is the managed service around it: the governance charter, the review gate, the CI-fix discipline, and the reporting — proven daily on our own eleven-repository portfolio.

Start with a sprint, not a leap.

The Pilot Sprint is fixed-scope by design: your repo assessed, the governance charter written, a bounded issue set delivered through the full review gate — and an evidence report your leadership can act on.
