Productivity and Collaboration

Let Agentforce work the Airtable bases your processes run on

Airtable is where teams build the operational databases that never made it into an official system: bases of related tables with typed fields — single selects, linked records, attachments, formulas — and the grid, kanban, and calendar views a process actually moves through. When Emerge Digital connects it to Salesforce Agentforce, an agent can look up a record, follow its links across tables, and, where you grant it, update a field — so the base the team runs on is the base the agent works from.

Discuss your Airtable integration

The opportunity

What the connection unlocks

  • Field types carry intent: a single select is a state, a linked record is a relationship, a formula is a rule — agents read the base the way your team designed it, not as a flat spreadsheet.
  • Linked records let an agent follow a question across tables — from an order to its supplier, from a request to the asset it concerns — along the relationships your base already defines.
  • Views encode the process: the filtered view your team works from can define what an agent treats as in play, so it acts on the same slice of records people do.
  • Updates land as field-level changes visible in the record's revision history, so the team sees what an agent changed the same way they would see a colleague's edit.

Illustrative workflows

Where it can make a difference

These scenarios explain possible workflows. They are not claims of delivered client results; licensing, permissions and feasibility are confirmed during discovery.

Status lookups from the operational base

A customer or colleague asks where a request stands, and the agent reads the matching Airtable record — its status field, owner, and linked items — so the answer comes from the base the team actually keeps up to date.

Close the loop on a process step

When a conversation completes a step — a document received, a booking confirmed — the agent updates the record's field in Airtable, and the kanban view the operations team watches moves without anyone re-keying it.

Salesforce for the customer, Airtable for the process

Agentforce reads the CRM for the relationship and the Airtable base for the operational detail — inventory, logistics, programme tracking — and answers from both without the team maintaining a copy in either.

Journey fit

Connect the workflow to the outcome.

Airtable typically strengthens Engage and Optimize: it holds the operational middle of a journey — fulfilment steps, programme pipelines, resource tracking — and agents grounded in it answer status questions honestly and move records along as steps complete. Over time, the bases also reveal where a process sticks, which is useful signal for deciding what to redesign.

Delivery

Built around your environment.

Emerge Digital connects Airtable to Salesforce Agentforce as a consulting engagement rather than an extension you add to a base. We map the bases and tables that matter, work out which fields an agent should read and which it may change, and build the actions so an update lands with field-level intent — the right select option, the right linked record — instead of free text pasted somewhere. Access follows the scoping we configure, and steps with real consequences keep a person in the loop.

Practical questions

Before we connect.

We also keep documentation in Notion — which should we connect?

They do different jobs. Notion leans toward pages with databases alongside; Airtable is relational structure first — tables, typed fields, and views that run a process. If the recurring question is the status of something, an Airtable base usually holds the answer, and plenty of teams connect both.

Can agents change records, or only read them?

Both, according to your scoping. Emerge configures read and write down to the field level, so an agent might update a status select yet never touch a finance field — and consequential changes can require a human confirmation before they land.

Is this an Airtable extension we install from the marketplace?

No. The connection is designed and governed by Emerge as a services engagement — mapping your bases, fields, and views to agent actions is done with your team, not downloaded and switched on.
